Q: Do you include appraisals with purchase?
A: Every purchase includes an appraisal. Which is for insurance purposes and authentication.
Q: Does eDiamonds & Designs offer insurance?
A: We don't offer insurance but we offer advice on how to go about it, what questions to ask with pricing and checking, and the best options for you. We of course provide a complimentary appraisal with every purchase which you will need in order to get insurance.
Q: What form of payments do you accept?
A: We accept MC, Visa, Discover, PayPal, personal checks, and bank wires.
Q: What do I get with my purchase?
A: We provide you with a beautiful gift box, a small pouch for pocket carrying, an appraisal, the original certificate if your diamond or gemstone came with it, and free complimentary overnight shipping when it's ready if you are from out of state.
Q: How do I best care and maintain my new jewelry purchase?
A: We offer free service to our clients for the first year of cleaning and professional polishing. After that, we recommend a home cleaner for more frequent and very safe cleaning. Any time you come to see us we check that all the diamonds are safe and your jewelry is intact.
Q: Why do some rings I see in stores have small holes?
A: That's porosity in the metal. It's air bubbles. Often they show up after a polish or after time. It's natural and fixable although the real question here is HOW it's being fixed. In some cases, the porosity is so bad that the right thing to do is to make a new piece, but that's costly and most places don't, they just fill in the holes.
Q: Do you buy old jewelry and gold if I have jewelry sitting around from my grandmother?
A: Yes we do. You can set up an appointment and bring in your jewelry to get it priced and leave our office with a check. You may want to keep your stones and redesign them into a new modern piece which we will be very happy to do with you as well.
Q: What's the difference between eDiamonds & Designs and other jewelers or jewelry stores?
A: We offer a very relaxed environment to view diamonds and give you all the time you need to ask questions and understand what it is exactly that you're buying, We don't just explain the differences in the diamonds we actually show you the difference through a fun process that by the end of it, you feel like a diamond pro and definitely understand enough to make an educated choice between the options that you have in front of you. It's one thing to read or be told and it's another to see and understand for yourself. Our approach to our customers is friendly and welcoming. We don't believe in pressuring anybody into a decision before you are 100% sure, and when you know, you know!
Q: What's the difference between the jewelry that eDiamonds and Designs create to other jewelry stores?
A: We create handmade jewelry. It's not from castings (cookie-cutter style),
the finish of every piece we make is a refined piece that shows the true
beauty of the stones. Our finished pieces are done to perfection, with the help of the top jewelers in NYC whom we work with. We don't mass produce and treat every piece we make no matter what the budget as a million-dollar piece because for the client who ordered it, this is their million-dollar piece.
